Website for a construction or industrial company: what it needs

What a construction or industrial company website must do: certificates, projects, technical data and a B2B enquiry. Examples from our work and prices.

Updated: 7 October 2026By the OpenWeb360 team

A construction or industrial company website does not need to be pretty. It needs to convince a buyer in the first ten seconds: is this firm reliable, does it do exactly the work I need, and how do I reach it. Here is what we learned in 2026 building websites for construction, industrial and B2B clients.

What a buyer looks for on the first screen

Construction and industrial buyers do not browse, they verify. A good website gives the answers immediately, without three clicks:

  • Certificates and process discipline. Often the first thing a buyer judges.
  • Proof of experience: number of completed projects, countries, larger clients.
  • A clear overview of services, so the buyer sees at once that you do exactly this work.
  • Technical data as text, not buried in PDFs: dimensions, materials, grades, reach.
  • A simple enquiry that sends a serious B2B buyer straight to the right person.

5 mistakes we see on construction and industrial websites

  1. Certificates are hidden. The information the buyer cares about most is scattered three clicks away.
  2. The site looks like an ordinary contractor's page, not like a company trusted with large projects.
  3. The catalogue sits behind vague categories with little technical detail, although industrial buyers look for it first.
  4. Comparison lives in PDFs. If a visitor has to dig through a PDF to compare machines or products, the enquiry is often lost the same day.
  5. The enquiry form is too long. A B2B buyer wants to send a short message, not fill in ten fields.

Examples from our work

  • ANSAV Projekt: we moved compliance and proof onto the home page, with a clearer overview of services.
  • BalTerminalStroy: more than two decades of designing dome structures and over 50 projects in more than ten countries. We built a dark industrial site, a project gallery and a simple B2B enquiry form.
  • AlfaSteel Scandinavia: we rebuilt the site around technical specifications and steel grades instead of marketing language, plus on-page SEO for the terms procurement teams use.
  • TeeMasin: a machine fleet comparison (operating weight, reach, certificates) right on the home page instead of PDFs.

What a construction company website costs

A multi-page website with services, projects, certificates and an enquiry form usually fits our Business package (€1,190 + VAT): SEO, analytics and indexing included, two revision rounds, live in 3–5 weeks. If you only need a simple company card at first, the Start package (from €490 + VAT) is enough. Details are on the pricing page, and the market overview is in Website cost in Estonia 2026.

Checklist before you order

  • Are certificates and proof visible on the home page?
  • Are services listed clearly, on separate pages?
  • Are projects shown with images, numbers and a short description?
  • Is technical data available as text, not only as a PDF?
  • Is the enquiry form short and does it reach the right person?
  • Is the site fast and comfortable on mobile?
  • Does it exist in Estonian, English and, if needed, Russian?
  • Are SEO and analytics included, so you can see which enquiries the site brings?

Frequently asked questions

How much does a construction company website cost?

A multi-page company website usually costs €1,190 + VAT with us (Business package), a simpler company card from €490 + VAT. The price and scope are agreed in writing before work starts.

How long does it take?

Usually 3–5 weeks for the Business package and 1–2 weeks for a simpler site. It depends on how quickly texts, photos and certificates arrive.

Does an industrial company need several languages?

If your buyers are in other countries or speak another language, yes. We build sites in Estonian, English and, where needed, Russian with correct hreflang markup, so Google shows the right language to the right person.

Do you help present certificates and projects?

Yes. We plan the page structure so that compliance, proof and completed projects are visible on the first screen, not hidden several clicks away.
